hey guys i'm looking for a new motor to go into my car. i'm getting my full licence soon and am keen to get a speedy car but i really like this one. where can i get a this motor? how much are they? and are they easy to fit?

New motor doesn't really exist. However, u can buy a second hand one and rebuild it if u want. If you are looking for a good second hand one that may be around $1600. u have to get ur engine bay nice and neat just like real GTI.

you will need more then just a motor.
most people would advise of getting a half cut or something rear ended when doing a swap like that.
unless your current golf is something special (2 door, different colour, had huge $$ already spent) you'd probably be better off just upgrading to a gti

I agree with Dylan. It's a pile of work to do the swap. The engine is only the start of the differences between a lesser model and a GTI. There's brakes, suspension, exhaust, clocks, etc etc.
A well oiled mechanic would probably take a couple of days to do it. Unless you can do it yourself, there's the best part of 2k.

Just buy a GTI, soooo much easier and you'll have the genuine article.
