Looks cool, JC!
If you got it, can I swap it with mine. please....
Oh, cmon!
Eh, the second pic, it is not S3 ja? Looks like a TT?
Mmm recaros.
They're beautiful seats. Shame about the price tag!
I sat in a TT a couple of weeks ago when Southern Classic had their sale on, don't think this particular TT had recaro's as an option but the leather seats were very comfortable and supportive.
Much like the GTI seats how they wrap around.

Cam, I think the Recaros are optional still on the TT

Is there no other option? Can you at least reupholster the crappy plastic backing in alcantara? I couldn't be stuffed mucking around and that was the difference between having recaro's in my car.

Haha! Actually no, I didn't have you in mind. Perhaps we're in different queues after all. I wonder which 1 will be faster?
I'm guessing Ant will win. Especially when he came out of nowhere with that dark horse beast of his so quickly last year.
Can Chris and I start a bidding war Ant!?! Please! LOL
Still gutted I didn't get your stock R32 brakes. Would have loved the rear ones. Were they the ones that went to Kevin (Rev555)?
haha...
So you got another source!?
Are you after R32 brakes? There is a member here upgrading to a BBK very soon, so should be a set available!?

@ John
Found quote and seller details..Bear in mind that was over 1yr ago
We are doing a big special on those right now actually, for $350 a
wheel, so $1399 for the set, and it would be $400 for shipping, so $1799
shipped to you, and that's insured.

hey john. I think I saw your car today briefly at EA? last time I saw your car it had OEM R32 tails and red plates. now its changed to black and rear tails are OEM LED's with double reverse lights? looked and sounded HOT!
any luck with these yet
Why not just get some recaros and upholster them in leather/alcantara? Or get the leather ones, there are some very nice models available.
Unless you want the airbag etc etc

wow those seats are sexy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
theres a set of recaro sportsters for sale over on watercooled. The dude is asking $3000 for the pair as new. You need to be registered/active member to view their classifieds from memory. They look black though. So im not sure if that would suit any of you guys who are interested.

Pretty good deal, but you have to ship from SA to where ever. Trimming shouldn't be a problem to get in a different colour? But no side airbag I am assuming. Shouldn't be an issue with ADR as R32 had Recaros without side airbags as an option (what are the rules if you delete after?). Oh and railings are only for a Polo, but once again at that price...
In victoria you are allowed to remove an airbag from a car so long as the car complied without that airbag. So on a golf I dont think it would be an issue as there were models available without seat airbags

Very nice find John. sexy seats.
Not sure Pharkus I thought all R32 Recaros came with side airbag.

That was one of the reasons, besides crap gloss black backing, that made me decide against them. No airbag on factory rcaros to my knowledge, but you can get recaros with them now.
R32 recaros are hot hot hot. If i owned one it would definately be on my options list. Safety features are never high on my list when I go car shopping.
Actually its probly bottom of my list when looking at how much trouble I could get myself into with some of the cars I have been looking at recently :D

True Tim, very true. In all reality, if airbags deploy you are most likely in some bit of strife anywho. I could get over the gloss black backing and had a quote for alcantara trimming to cover it. But some other project came up (I think plasma or something) and I spent the cash on that instead.

I love them as well, but hard to justify it at time of buying/ordering for an extra 3-4k (plus whatever it adds to the LCT). Would be nice if the boulsters were suede or something so they dont crease with wear, but long as you're careful getting it should be ok. If you can pick up a 2nd hand car with them in it's a bit of a score!

What's wrong with the gloss black backs? What would you prefer to have there?
Scratching. We have a dog that sits in the back (on top of a special dog tarp of course) and looking forward to when kids start kicking the back seat. I was thinking about taking it to Garry Blackman trimming to get alcantara (as per above), but though that would be more scratch resistant it would stain like all buggery. In the end I just gave up and went without them as an option.
