Hi guys,

Can anyone with some experience with the JIC / Cross range of coilovers tell me if the dampers in the highly regarded Cross are the same as those in the JIC FLT RS?
i.e. is Cross just the 'Euro' title given to the JIC range?

I'm looking at a set of these:
http://worksconcepts.com/jic_magic/jic_coilover_system_fltrs_custom_series/s15fltrs/i-231221.aspx
for my S15... and the Cross reputation is probably as close as I'll get to a euro damper for it.
These are the Cross (for the Golf):
http://cross-na.com/ViewProduct1.aspx?ProductID=90&CarModelID=150&CarMakeID=19

If you read the marketing fluff it is effectively the same wording, the gear *looks* the same too.
I get the impression that the FLT RS is a little more track oriented / less compromised than the Cross.

I've currently got Teins SuperStreets on there now and have hit the limit with how low they can go.
This is primarily a track car, so I want it to handle well and be lower than it currently is.

I was heading towards KW ClubSports, but those are only made for the S14, which I believe has some small but significant differences to the S15 (shock length etc).
My Golf is significantly lower on the KW V3 than my S15 - but they don't make KW V3 with camber tops for the S15.

Any help on deciphering the JIC/Cross stuff would be most appreciated.
Am I comparing apples with apples?

This should probably be in off-topic... :P

Just saw JIC japan is going out of business... I think I'll take a longer look at those KW then...

weird to be bumping a thread that I'm the only one who has posted in, but it may be useful to someone.
If you're keen on getting some Cross for $1700 USD, go here: http://www.jic-magic.com/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductID=200

They are clearing out all the Japanese stuff, and apparently JIC USA are going to be bringing some new suspension products to the market.

Indeed sir you own this thread !! nice info for anyone looking at suspensions, personally not sure which direction I am heading ?
I would go for KW clubs purely for name and cred but goodluck in your quest Mr M.
I do think Papafox and 10d run cross set up, best for those guys to chime.

I would say you're right on the money Tinto. It is not a hardcore track suspension. Not like the FLT RS

Ride is good. Not overly bumpy. Plenty of adjustment in the damper settings. 9kg springs for the front and 6 kgs for the rear. Best to set up like Justin with the rear seat removed.

Comes with a camber top for the front. Max -3 degree.
