It takes time and effort for people to take photos AND upload them and share them on the internet. Whilst I agree that a lot of people take post processing too far I'd still much rather have them posting their pictures rather than not posting them at all. Sharing is caring :)

I mean eveyone has their tastes but whats the point of lowering a car like that, it would limit so much where you could drive it, which IMO is the whole purpose of having a car. But I spose that some people will just keep them as show cars.

Looks! Most of these guys that low would be running on airbag suspension so they can raise the entire car up at the flick of a switch.

I get the looks thing but it's like having a plastic/Botox queen alright to look at but pretty much useless for anything else ;)

didn't realise the suspension would be airbags makes sense, still not a big fan of the extreme lowering and 3/4 wheel look, but keep em coming some nice pics and the occasional unique feature in the cars that makes them a worthwhile look

lower = better. The VW scene has always been about looks & style, yeah there are a lot of fast cars too, turbos/vr6's etc, but style always plays a big part. It's also one-up-man-ship, each person wants to be lower/wider/brighter/more extreme than the next guy.

as for airbags, many of them run bags now since they're pretty affordable but you'd be surprised at how many of them are static dropped on coilovers. How they drive around, I'll never know. Many of them go through sumps regularly. I guess it's a lifestyle thing.

they are Rota Grids. only the wider ones have that kind of 'concavity.'
they do come in 5 x 100 and can be had new for a little over $1000AUD. look on ebay.
about ~10kgs each

Having a car brand badge that doesnt belong a particular type of wheel then putting it on a different car again also does the trick... :rolleyes:

Yeah big wheels DEF suit MK4's so much i have 19s on mine and the guards as full as can be just makes the ride very bumpy and uncomfortable which is really shit on sydney roads haha
