Hey Guys,

Been on here for quite some time now, thought i'd formally introduce myself :).

At the moment, i'm driving an Accord Euro, though two days ago i took the plunge and ordered my new car.

After months of looking around and deciding, i finally put down the order on a Golf R >D.
Specs are 2 door white, DSG, Sunroof, Recaro buckets, Black 19's/headlights. Only major downside is ETA: April :icon_neutral:

Looking forward to some of the future Sydney GTG's.

wow....similar background as me! i had a euro as well....full mugen kit, teins, etc etc and now ur getting a golf R! in white! like me! hahaha nice choice!!

only difference between yours and mine is, i have 5 door and no sunroof. Yeah april deliver will be a bitch...mines due mid december (hopefully)

Going to miss the Euro once it goes, but i'm sure the VW will serve me well.

It's only been a week since I placed the order, yet it feels like i've been waiting months already!

Anyone who's ordered one know the process after placing an order? Purchased from Barloworld and the bloke told me that he would let me know more details once VW reply to their build request, which will take about a month!?

Congrats on the order!

They should contact you with a build date and VIN number. Once it's built, you can then use the VIN number to track delivery of the car, and estimated arrival date in Australia.

I had to wait 3 months for my GTI and that killed me haha.

Gratz on the order mate! I ordered my R mid Sep from Barloworld in Glen Waverley. No word as yet on production date but its only been a bout 3 weeks so hopefully soon. Your right the wait is painful, best to try and take your mind off it and just keep busy! Easier said than done tho lol!
