Air Con Compressor and Hose Failure

Hi All,

My GTI went in for the 15k service last Monday and to have the Air Con looked at as it had decided to stop working on the Thursday beforehand.

Turns out the compressor had packed it in and was replaced (obviously under warranty). When they went to regas it they found a hose had blown a hole.

The hose is covered under warranty - but it will take 3 weeks to come from Singapore...

Anybody else had this type of issue?

Not sure about the Mk6 but I know the aircon sysytem on the mkV was a relatively common issue:

Exactly the same problem (compressor + hose). busted at just less than 10k km. take 3 visits over 3 weeks to sort it out.
