Hey Guys,

Strange request I know...but hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I'm after a diagnostic cable for my brothers Ford Laser. Its an SR2 2001 model. Hopefully there is something out there similar to VCDS for VW and Audis?

Having a few issues that local mechanics can't diagnose properly, so hoping to try and get a cable and do some work on it myself.

I know they use an ODBII port but little bit stuck on what cable to get and exactly what software I can use.

Any help would be appreciated.
:)

Thanks,
Cam

p.s Does anyone know where I could find a technical workshop book for it? There doesn't seem to be a lot of info on the net about it. Even something similar to erwin online where I have to pay would be ok with me.

Maybe ask on a Ford forum?
Do they even have anywhere where you can plug it in :D?

I've considered asking on one of the ford forums but people generally aren't as helpful as they are on VAG forums.
I'll give it a go though, thanks Greg.

It has a port underneath the steering wheel similar to where our ports are on the golfs. Slightly smaller than the CAN though.
