NEW WHEELS & TINT

Date 11th August 2009

Went to my mate Sam at Tempe Tyres (http://www.tempetyres.com.au/index.asp)tried various wheels against the car, I had narrowed the selection down to two types
AUVW 18*8.0 P201 Hyper Silver (http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_closeup.asp?part=&part_no=726) or AUVW 18*8.8 AK5581 Gunmetal (http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_closeup.asp?part=&part_no=1776) decided on these shown below

Universal Shield Stone Chip Protection

Date: 20th August 2009

Well what can I say but WOW!!! AWESOME, I've have had stone chip protection previously on my MINI and it’s a must with the type of driving we do, country roads and MINI’s as friend (rock chucker’s)

However this time I decide to go with the Full Race Kit (http://www.universalshield.com.au/#tab2)which covers the whole front of the car including the headlights, full bonnet, guards, side mirrors & skirts and top 3” of the roof

No unsightly line across the bonnet when grit start to build up after time

Chris Murphy from Universal Shield Brookvale has done an outstanding job usually this kit would cost $2,100.00, however if you mention JohnG refered you Chris has said he will do it for $1,330.00 he even added the rear boot, door handles and BONUS did the Leather/Vinyl Protection & Fabric Protection

This is a link to his website http://www.universalshield.com.au
THE BEST PROTECTION YOU'LL NEVER SEE !

DRLs look great Johnny, can't wait to see them in real life. Do they dim when the headlights come on? Or stay bright all the time?

the paint protection looked nice, John.

Can you still wax it?

LEDS look great Johnny!
Never knew you had the protection pack on, you really can't notice it.

I'm tempted to get that done on mine. There are some pretty treacherous roads here down south. Looks like a good investment.

If a stone hits you hard enough its gonna chip but in most cases the protection can be replaced when it looks shabby and everything is like brand new again, if you look at the bottom of my bumber its scraped a few times already

Very cool car John! Love those seats!

Thanks, they were definatly a draw card in my decision to buy that R32 and the exhaust note is sweet

Thanks Christo I don't have many mods and probably won't add anymore so the thread will go stale, but its good to document the car mods, haven't done that before on other sites

Beautiful r32 there mate!!! I wanted to do the vinyl protection earlier, but when the car paint was in a bad condition (huge stone chips) when I bought it used. A respray will cost me an arm and a leg :(
