Hey guys,

I'm keen to get some coilovers for our mk5 jetta.

If anyone one has some that they are wanting to sell or knows of someone that is then please let me know.

Thanks Tim

How about just buying some from ECS tuning? I have FK streetlines on my GTi. nice ride, bit bouncy, go low, great traction :)

Buying brand new from ECS is my next step.

I just thought i'd try my luck locally first.

Do you mind me asking how much you payed landed?

I'm not to familiar with FK so i'll have to look in to them a bit more, thanks.

Plenty of wraps about FK's in the states. They have been using them for years.....

Does anyone know if anybody running FK's in Vic,

Would be good to go for a drive to see for myself how they ride.

I'll give you an honest and frank review of FK coilovers (I am running the top line model):
I'm not that impressed. I purchased them primarily because they go quite low, which they most certainly do. The problem is they are a bit stiff. Mine are fully damper adjustable so it may be they are set too stiff, but adjusting them is a headache. The front is not so bad as you simply need access to the strut towers, but the rear has to be removed from the car to adjust them. If I can adjust them quite a bit softer my opinion would change, but I'm not confident.

To summarise - if you want low and don't mind it fairly stiff, they are good. If your not interested in going low there are better options (or I'm just getting old!).

(To put it in perspective my last year was an Evo that sat very low on Buddy Club coilovers - that was more comfortable than the Golf)

Hmm... Gotta disagree Bakks. Ive Got FK Streetlines. they were 800 landed silver dub. They are only height adjustable. I think that with them in the ride is more comfortable than stock. They are actually quite forgiving on some bits. But obviously they are a bit bouncier. But it I kinda like it :P Oh and they go loooooowww... just do a search on golfmkv.com

But yeh, I like em.

Bakks... they must be too stiff bro. :)

Yeah they must be, sounds like I need to do some tinkering.
