I have done a few track days at Oran Park, but it was a few years back.
Not much left now, I live on the same road as Oran Park and drive past every day (we can see the new houses that have been built right near the first turn on the track from the end of our driveway).
The track surface has been removed, no concrete walls, no bridge, no pit garages (just partial framework), no garages, no admin office, no grandstands.... actually not much at all....

Studies shown that white colour reflect more heat than red, hence the car will run cooler and therefore FASTA! >D

Ramesh and Sandy, did you see apmitchell's white R32 with white wheels (and the huge blue ducting under the bonnet; opened to cool it down on arrival to the dyno day)? :p The car had a certain magnetism thanks to a few, choice, upgrades.

It was an ecletic mix of participants. :) Plus a decent baseline result for your own GTI, in case you get bitten by a power mods bug. :)

That white r32 was swweeeettt I know sandy was looking under it's bonnet for some time. We both wanted to see what it would run one the dyno.

It was a great mix of people didn't know anyone there ( apart from a old mate who turned up as he knew the people from the workshop as they are working on his skyline) but everyone was friendly.

First time at a dyno day ( used to compete is sound offs and run them too) I think it's a new way for us to spend time together.

Very nice collection of car's I saw on the Dyno Day - all very immaculate.

If it helps, I had a '83 Mazda 323 Hatch many years ago which was roughly based on the early VW Golf? LOL..

10d has been great trusting me to pilot his car, allowing me some sorely missed practice. Have to admit, am not to keen on the DSG - some finess needed there, but being an ape, I just mash down on the throttle.
