Hi All,

Probably a very simple problem to fix but my Digital Speed Display is in MPH and I have been unable to fix it through the MFD. I entered the Units are of the settings but no luck.

Any suggestions. Always appreciative of any help.

once you enter the menu (the one that has convenience, MFD, light, etc) if u keep scrolling down there should be one that begins with "alt." I think its "alt. speed int" or something like that. If that box is checked, then your digital reading will read in MPH. Im guessing the "alt" means "alternative". So since our cars are in km/h on the speedo, i guess its really an option for those in europe, where some countries are in km/h and some are in mp/h? I think germany is in km/h and then if u go over to, say, france, it'd be in miles/hour? I dunno

But I digress...if that box is checked, uncheck it, and then you shoudl see a big fat naught "0" indicating the digital speedo reading :)

As I have no other life at the moment than this car, I have been down and made the changes but what happens is when I uncheck the box, the digital display disappears and the temperature then appears between the "lines". When I check the box again the digital speed display returns (MPH), between the lines and the temperature moves above the lines. Strange!

Any suggestions.

thats normal. After you uncheck it, you gotta scroll through using the up and down button on the right hand side. Do this first

if you still cant find the big fat nought, then check in "MFD DISPLAY" or something of that nature that the digital speedo option is checkboxed as well. Its where yo ucan choose what sort of info your car gives out to you (avg fuel consumption, current fuel consumption, oil temp, travelled time, etc etc. there should be one that is the digital speedo and make sure that box is checked.

This is what it should look like after u find it

Interesting because my digital display has been coming up between the lines, where the Temperature is on your. I did make sure that the Dig Display box was checked but will go have another play with it this morning.

Thanks Stephen

Isn't there a sub menu to change the units? I know my R32 has a sub menu like that... so you can change from Miles/H to KM/H....

Whoops just read your first post... my bad...

Okay I took the liberty of going downstairs to my R and checking to see what you need to

Okay, step by step guide.

1) See in that picture where you see the time (11:54pm)? Press the < or > button on the right hand side of the steering wheel to access each menu (Menu's should be MFD, AUDIO, ASSISTANT, VEHICLE STATUS, SETTINGS. The name of the menu should appear just above the top line on the screen.

2) Select SETTINGS and press OK

3) In the SETTINGS menu, you should see this :

Language
MFD Data
Convenience
Lights & Vision
Time
Winter Tyres
Units
[ ] Alt. Speed. Dis.
Service Interval
Factory Setting.

4) Make sure the Alt. Speed. Dis is UNCHECKED

5) Still in the SETTINGS menu, select MFD Data and press OK

6) In the MFD Data menu, you should see this

[ ]Travel Time
[ ]Curr. Cons.
[ ]Av. Cons.
[ ]Route
[ ]Av. Speed
[ ]Digit. Speed
[ ]Oil Temp
[ ] Speed Warn
Back

7) To make your digital speed come up, you must select DIGIT. SPEED In the MFD Data Menu. I also have Curr. Cons., Av. Cons and also Oil Temp selected, but you can select as many or as few as you want.

8) Press the < or > keys again until you see MFD at the top of the screen. This will show you the options you selected in the MFD Data menu.

9) Scroll through until you find the digital speedo (as shown in above pic)

Hope this was comprehensive enough. :)

No probs Justin, I know who to call next time then. Starting get most of it worked out though. Just noticed the button under the drivers armpit. Will research that one. Looks like a button for sensors/alarm?

Yeah, that one is used to turn off the interior sensors, in the event you leave a pet in the car and want to still lock and arm the vehicle.

Or if the car is shaken and it triggers the alarm, you use that button to disarm it.
