Yokohama Advan Neova ADO8 (http://advanwheels.com.au/tyres/street-race.aspx ) and using them for the daily drive.

Here at go2space we can speak from experience. We’ve had a Mazda 3 SP23 running the AD08 (http://advanwheels.com.au/tyres/street-race.aspx ). It’s a mum daily car and it’s done 3 track days; (mum likes to steer at the odd track day), also used to drop the kids off, drive to work and pick up the groceries car. The tyres have been on the car for 12month and we’re happy to say it’s got more than 60% of tread life left. So don’t always believe what everyone says about the tread life in regards to race on Sunday, drive on Monday tyres. As for noise on the road, well the car is running headers and a sports exhaust plus a K&N, last thing we hear is tyre noise!

Some history on the AD08 (http://advanwheels.com.au/tyres/street-race.aspx ) , well it replaced the ADO7 (the left tyre in the picture below is the AD07 with the ADO8 on the right). It is a 180 tread wear street tire that performs admirably on and off the track. The ADO7 being the standard tyre on the Lotus Elise which gives it some serious credibility. Glad to report that the AD08 has by far exceeded all our exceptions.

I've been running a set of these for a while now.

Great tires! Bit noisy, and sketchy in the wet. But boy they do grip. Takes bugger all to heat up on the track, half a lap and it's warm.
I do feel though after 5 laps in Wakefield, they loose their grip quite significantly, but what to expect from a street tires.

Well worth the extra coin for a dual purpose tires that will do great on both track and street. Not the best for both, but a compromise.

Great review Tendy. I'm hoping they're better than R888's in the wet. and 5 laps is about right for track work.
