For sale, low kms 2006 GTI that I bought new from Sth Yarra VW in Feb 2006. I'm in SE Melbourne suburbs and looking for a genuine buyer.

Asking $27,000 with 12 months rego.

Details:

* Candy white 2006 GTI 6spd man with sunroof, cloth interior, 5 door
* 42,000 kms (I catch PT to work)
* Reg til Feb 2012
* 17" Denvers recently repaired/resprayed, as new condition
* Serviced at Camberwell VW and Volkspower for 6 monthly oil changes and mods
* APR Stg 2+ (Stg 2 remap, carbonio intake, turbo back 3" mandrel exhaust)
* Output: approx 188kW / 410Nm (flywheel)
* APR dogbone insert
* Whiteline adjustable rear swaybar on soft setting
* Running Pirelli P Zero Rosso 225s, approx 5000km duty
* Never been in a collision, extremely clean with very few stone chips
* Can supply stock items with mods

As you will see in the full service history, this car has had the steering rack, DV and aircon compressor replaced under warranty. I get the oil changed every 6 months with Castrol Edge Sport.

The car is dead straight with no scrapes (few minor scatches under front lip) and presents extremely well. I can refer you to Dean at Volkspower who knows this car very well if you want a second opinion on its the history. One of the first Mk5 GTIs to get the APR treatment.

Cheers

Paul

Ever considered parting out then selling?

Sure, I've been asked a few times. If a buyer wants the car without mods I'll happily revert to factory then advertise the upgrades here.

Or are you suggesting I'll get more if I separate now, regardless? I weighed that up but didn't think it was worth it.

I think that you would get that 27K plus the extra bits for you're aftermarket goodies. It takes a special kind of person to buy a nodded car. Jist my 2 cents. I'm sure there are a couple of people on this forum who would agree.

problem with parting it out, is that the reflash can't be on-sold.
and that means that if he reverts to stock, he can't re-mod it if the car buyer wants the mods.

Hey Paul... I am still interested in that exhaust and more so now coz a friend will take the DP... Let me know if you change your mind!!

Let's go hypothetical for a minute.

The car goes a while without any bites. Then he can look at the pros and cons of his situation. Ie. Are the mods a deterrent? Would he be more successful in finding a buyer with a stock car?

And yes, I completely agree that the apr flash is something that if I had wouldn't want to get rid of it!

Damn you pato. I wanted the exhaust if he parted with it. :S.

I've got the RSC system on my Mk6 and although it's quieter it still has a good note at wide open throttle.

Jaques, can you PM me your best offer and I'll give it some thought.

Thanks Pato. Considering I was gonna keep it until I got offered a Mk6 GTI at a great price... nothing I would be doing if I kept it!
