VW at the Geneva Motor Show 2010

So after looking through some of the stuff on the neat little iPhone app for VW at the motor show I came across the new Touareg.

Styling is pretty similar, and they've gotten rid of the V12 :( and made the car into a Hybrid, but there were some interesting facts.

The electric engine :( can power the car to 50km/hr, but its a hybrid capable of towing 3.5 tonnes!

Two petrol engines, a V6 FSI (206kW/280PS) with consumption of 9.9l/100km, the other I cant find info on.

Two turbo-diesels, V6 TDI (176kW/240PS) consumption of 7.4l/100km and a V8 TDI (250kW/340PS) with consumption of 9.1l/100km.

The thing that surprise me was that all variants are fitted with the newly developed VW 8-speed DSG box!

i read about it a while back on vwvortex (http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/publish/volkswagen_news/article_2700.shtml). sounds impressive, kinda made me want one even though i'm pretty anti-suv. lol
