Hey guys,
I have searched all over the place online trying to find new Windshield Water Deflectors for my Golf.
I thought I had found them here www.ecstuning.com:

http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-Golf_III--2.0/Search/Deflector/ES3351/
http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-Golf_III--2.0/Search/Deflector/ES3350/

But thankfully I double checked with mine to make sure and realised they are reversed (USA passenger air filter on left, not right, when looking at car).
Anyone know where I can find these locally or online? As it is so easy to DIY, I'd rather try and save the money than take it somewhere.

Btw this is my first post so be kind if this has already been answered somewhere.

Just a quick slightly related note, I've taken the weather shield off my car several times now (because the VR6 ECU is located underneath it, no ide about other Mk3s) and the clips that are used to hold them on are... Not very forgiving. You will most likely stab yourself in the fingers with the screwdriver you'll use to.. well, unscrew them. Oh and also willing to bet that you'll squish your fingers underneath the clips trying to pull them out.

Hope you like pain.

Yeah I know how you feel, but I went and bought a "trim removal" tool from autobarn for about $10 and it really helps with the clips...

Well I emailed ecstuning and asked if they could get the European style deflectors in for me and they said that they could, but they want to know what the part number is. So is there anyone who knows the number for the European style ones and not the American ones (which are 1H1819415BB41 & 1H1819416BB41)??

Well I managed to track down the part numbers for the European deflectors: 1H2819415BB41 & 1H2819416CB41, and it turns out that www.ecstuning.com does actually stock them, just a bit hard to find without the numbers. Works out to about $210 for parts and shipping here to Aus, but compared to the ~$340 that the dealer just quoted me, I think it's worth the ~2month wait. I just hope that the temp job will work till then (taped along the passenger side deflector, over the cabin air vent).

2 months from ECS? They're much faster than that?

Ah yes I should elaborate.. the item is listed as "Special Order ETA May 23rd", so could be less could be more..
