My dealer has today installed a bluetooth 9WZ (2010 Mk6 Golf R RNS510) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Bluetooth-VW-...item33660c86a9 there was some confusion at first as they thought it was the wrong system, finally they figured out how to install it but could not code the with VAGcom as they dont know the code, the generic Australian one didnt work.
Anyone happen to know what the code is?
Warm regards
Adrian

I used mav's site for reference to programming the 9wz in my golf R using a vagcom
http://www.my-gti.com/2807/volkswagen-9wz-bluetooth-programming
i left it all bytes at 00 besides language (english 02) and fuel type (gasoline 01) although don't know why this would matter for BT haha.

Mind me asking how much u paid for the bt

you can get it from here
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Bluetooth-VW-RNS-510-9WZ-Premium-2011-5N0-035-730-D-/220755429033?pt=Other_Vehicle_Parts&hash=item33660c86a9#ht_4892wt_991
i got mine from him but also bought the RNS510 C/LED as well for around 1350 delivered for both. couldn't find anywhere that would sell the new 9wz module for less.
Ok cool
Where does it install and where do u fit the microphone? Any pics of install guide?

i used this guide
http://www.rforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=411.0
since it's an oem kit, the mic fits perfectly into the overhead light console. the module is meant to be placed underneath the passenger seat but since there was heaps of space behind the radio, i left it there. I also fed the rsap aerial up into the roof as well.
You will have to however feed the mic cable in reverse to that guide as it's connected to the main loom.

Re the 9WZ, I managed to get an installation PDF from the supplier, seems pretty good and includes a code guide 001377 I will get the dealer to code it next time I am there, I guess it can't be done without the software. I'm pleased with the system, works great with the exception on the bt audio streaming it looses the bass but I don't think I will be using that, one last thing, I have had to turn off my email notification as each time my iPhone sounds an email the audio mutes for 5 seconds. Not seen a txt msg turn up on the RNS yet but early days.

Just installed my 9wz today.
Was pretty straight forward.
Now just need to code it to make SMS work.

SMS unfortunately does not work with iphone as the BT implementation on the iphone is rubbish, it's severely crippled. It only supports the handsfree profile and not the required rsap protocol for sms to work.
My blackberry works with SMS through the headunit and i'm sure all android phones are able to as well.

With the RNS-510 is the module prettymuch plug and play under the seat?
Do you need to install the microphone or does the microphone for voice control work for bluetooth?
I haven't been able to find much information on the installation procedure, any help would be appreciated!
