MK4-MK5

Hi Guys,

Looking with much interest to buy a Golf in the near future and thought i would come and seek some advice from some people with some know-how.

Ive done some basic research and looking at photos and specs of MK4s and Mk5s. However i have been unable to find which models (Mk4-5, badge, power - any identifier really) if any, have the nice cream leather interior - or is it just pot luck?

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey mate,

theres a few treads in this section of the forum regarding the Mk4 chassis.

I'd say hinging a car choice on interior colour is a bit different, but I'm pretty sure the cream leather is an option (not standard) on any golf configuration (Mk4 or 5).

Power wise, can someone advise what the differences are between the 1.6s, 1.8s(GTI) and 2.0s are? I really dont know to much about motors but if anyone could give just an overview of the 3 that would be brilliant.

Also, does anyone know if the MK4 GTIs all have the wood grain interior? And if so, can they be replaced?
