Hey all,

I have this one for sale, 100% brand new in box, never used
I opened the package just to check it.

Reason for selling, I ordered mk6 GTI and bought the PSS10 on advance for it, but I end up canceled the GTI and got another car instead, so I will never use this, its sitting in my home doing nothing.

I'm looking for $2100 ONO

Thanks!

I may be interested. Car does not arrive until May - if you still have them then I look you up.

What do these usually go for buying new? Did you buy them locally or were they an import?

SUGA is running these in her R, she paid over $3k for them. I'm pretty sure the MK6 and MK5 share the same suspension set-up? Can someone confirm?

Im not totally sure if they're the same for mk5 and mk6

I got it from states.. I need to get rid of this, hence the reduced price :)

Just had a look and they are a different part number to R32.

Yeah I think they're slightly different, price wise though they appear to be cheap at the moment perhaps on ECS for $1999.95 plus shipping so you may need to bring the price down a little to get them through the door. Also I know this is on mk6 but have you tried vwwc or vortex? More mk6 drivers on other forums

The mk5 gti and r32 have same numbers though. Maybe why some r32 owners say these are underdamped for r32 due to the extra weight.

Possible but wouldn't risk it - Different part number and different price for the R32.

I got it from ECS.. at that price 1999.95, which after shipping, currency exchange, clearance, import tax etc brings it close to about $2600.. $500 off the price is not bad for a brand new stuff i think :)

wow, those taxes etc do add to the price, didnt realise they were so heavy for shipping to be so high :(

Honest to god - if I had my car already - i'd have bought these.

Maybe I should anyway... hmmz. I do plan on changing my wheels and have stock 18" from the factory.

Had planned on dumping $2k on APR when it arrives first off though.

Jayd I'd buy these, it's a steal and you are talking about top shelf stuff here. TOP SHELF!

visconti - tell me you got a DC2R with a K20 in it? Even without, they are an amazing car, apples and oranges to a MK6 GTI though. As a daily the MK6 would be much easier to live with, happy for you either way! :)

shame not k20 yet.. after driving it couple days, now i wish i had the GTI instead... sigh

but since i already got the dc2r might as well use it for a while and think of something else later :)

DC2R's are fantastic (I owned one). When you turn the car on, the whole thing shakes and vibrates. No sound deadening material, it's a true stripped out race car for the road. They sure do not build cars like that any more. Just enjoy it, whatever you do, before you sell it, take it out to the track!

The issue with picking these up now is that I am holding out for R pricing/availability info. :)

24-03-2010, 09:07 AM
Yeah it will come out one day Jay :)

I would buy these as I want some anyway but just cant justify the expense right now, if you still have them mid-year I'll snap them up

elisiX
24-03-2010, 09:46 AM
Well my GTI arrives May 20th I'm told.

However if pricing comes out on the R and the first shipment is available to me I might be switching.

Dont want to have coilovers I cant use if I go the R.

Just get them MK!! You will get better traction with the lower stance!!

IMO, the brakes u have now should be sufficient for the power ur making currently. I'd say go the coilovers. PSS10's u cant go wrong! Might as well get suspension out of the way well and truly as u already have the H&R Sways. Bilsteins will finish it off....THEN u can worry about more power and stopping

I would get them too. It's a pity that they are designed for the MKV or I would have bought them straight away.

No worries well il keep an eye out for when you get the suspension mods done as i come down to kiama-nowra a fair bit. I might drop in on thursday on the way back to sydney to see how the exhaust and tune goes but il be going with revo as i have the select switch from my previous mk5 gti and im real close to parramatta revo dealer but no idea about the exhaust as yet. Im still thinking i may just go for the dump pipe and keep the standard cat back as im not a real fan of overly loud exhausts. I had an x-force on my mk5 gti for less than a hundred kays. Drove from kiama to shellharbour and back put it on the jacks and took it off again. Sounded like an empty milo tin at 100-120 kays.
