Just to make things formal. For those that don't know me I'm benough (pronounced benno) My folks wrote Ben on my birth certificate. ;)

I started out with a MK5 TDI Comfortline about 2 and a half years ago but when it was 3 weeks old a woman missed a giveway sign...

Also I rescued this (prize winning I might add, haha!) Aus Spec MK2 GTI 8v from a sad sate of affairs. Now I'm just the caretaker as my brother bought it off me to drive when he visits from O/S

Indeed. I hit the woman in the left rear at about 70km/h. I guess I had a quick moment to brace myself but I walked out of it uninjured. No headaches, muscle aches anything.

I was astonished how strong these cars are. So if anyone needs to be convinced of the safety of a Golf, I will sort em out :-)
