Hey guys, got the modding bug a bit but only looking at the smaller stuff for now. Seen these on SUGA's and will be getting some for myself.

I will be getting the smooth silver ones. There is also black anodized and silver knurled ones. Let me know if anyone is interested in getting some or anything from ECS Tuning (Melbourne preferred) as the aim is to save on shipping costs.

Well lets just say my mind was following yours then, wouldn't say that it was great. What colour did you end up going?
Also found a few other small items that would fit nicely in a small shipment and shouldn't weigh all that much.
VW logo stem caps
Blue side mirrors

Same as you. The silvery ones with the knurled finish. Should look good.

Pharkus - Knobs, Mirrors and Stem caps
BigYelow - Knobs & DSG Paddles
Manol - Knobs & DSG Paddles
Will update this as more ppl come on board.
When are you guys looking to purchase?
I ordered both the knurled knobs and smooth ones. Trust me (and 10d will back me up on this) on this when I say - go for the smooth ones. They are classier to look at.

My mistake, I ordered the smooth type. The new one with the built in LED's that change from red to blue according to the temperature you select. Should look really cool.

Oh yes forgot about those ones. I was asked if I wanted them when I chatted with the sales people via their online chat. They don't list them on their pages because they only have a limited number of them (limited edition) and are only asking clients if they want them when you place an order for the other ones. But at $50USD per set - I passed on them.

How do they work with the changing colours? Must be wired in as well whereas the ones that are just metallic are just clipped on in place?

They work like those mood rings you can buy at dollar stores - there must be some temp sensitive material that generates an electrical charge to power the LEDs - no batteries required. Both just slip on - nothing to screw or glue on.

Stephen - Just e-mail ian. My list has grown since I posted that and he will be providing me with a quote directly. If you are in Melbourne then potentially prior to shipping we can request that Ian send all to me, then I can meet up with ppls to distribute to save him on shipping separately.

yeah - wouldn't mind getting a couple of things.
Anyone know if ECS sells the OSRAM Super Bright H7 65W bulbs?
(the ones with 30% more light than Nightbreakers thanks to a H9 filament (http://www.my-gti.com/1780/upgrading-volkswagen-halogen-headlights-to-osram-super-bright-off-road-65watt-bulbs))
I'm just wondering aloud as shipping exceeded the cost of the bulbs from one US seller and they are not easily found (by me) online.
From my-git:
Osram EAN/Product No: 4050300524399
Product Description: 64217
ECE Category: H7
Base (standard designation): PX26d
Nominal Wattage: 65 W
Lumens: 2100
Life (hours): 500
Thanks.
If this is still going on I would love to jump in the bandwagon in buying DSG paddles (depending which one we decided on)
How large can the items be????

This was meant to be for Melbourne people to bundle shipping into one therefore potentially saving us on some of the shipping cost. We could then meet up to distribute the goods. However, myself and other members have contacted Ian (Rennenhaus) directly to ascertain a price for the items that he may be able to get off ECS. I suggest you do the same.

How did you guys go with your knurled knobs? (Sounds ominous) I'd like to get some do you have any pics? Also was thinking of this Anthracite Dash Kit (http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-R32_MKV--3.2/Interior/Dashboard/ES6839/) or maybe this (http://www.urotuning.com/shop/anthracite-dash-trim-kit-mk5-p-1596.html) one?
Anyone got either of these?
The mod bug is biting.
Cheers
