Golf VR6 Soft Throttle Pedal.

Hi Again all.
Just querying if anybody knows why and the solution to a soft accelerator pedal in my 97 VR6??
The pedal goes to the floor with barely any pressure and also the car struggles to rev as quickly as it should and beyond about 3500-4000 rpm.
Then other times when i have turned the car off and back on again the pedal pressure is back...also sometimes pedal pressure returns when the engine is warm.

Are these cable throttle? Possibly stretched cable or it's jamming up somewhere along its path?

Yeah got it sorted mate.
Cable wasn't correctly adjusted or in its housing properly (plastic housing located on throttle body).
Guys at CamdenGTI also adjusted the throttle for me.
Runs perfectly now.
