Welcome Jack, I am sure you will love the MK 3. What type of MK 3 are you getting?

I realize its a bit out of place, but this is a pic of my 180sx in the meantime, its actually a pretty rare 200SX import from europe.

Jack I thought you'd be the last person to buy a Golf, let alone a front wheel drive? This will be interesting!

Have always been into them, just could never bring myself to actually spend the time and go and buy such a different car, i have owned 9 imports, and another few Aust. delivered Japanese car's, so my only time in a VW is from my parents GTi, which they sold for a Corolla

Should be good, just going to do some clean up, and get some wheels, and hopefully i don't get too carried away, and can focus on my civic build i hope to start soon..

I cop a bit of cheeky flack on JDMST for going through so many cars so quickly but I reckon you're on par with me there Jack

nice 180 Jack

any differences in specs on a european imported 200sx (180) as compared to the 180's we see here in oz which are imported from JDM land?

Not really any differences, some interior changes, quarter windows and tail lights say 200SX, uses late zenki (series 2 - jdm talk haha) front and rear bar's, and mine had a CA18DET auto, pile of crap motor, good for Blown head gaskets and unreliability, looks like an RB20/25 missing 2 cylinders.

But mine had the motor swapped over to a S14A SR20DET, which is a decent 2 liter, GT28 bb turbo, some other cool stuff, was out of a late 97ish 200SX from Japan. (called silvia in japan)

Wanting some input, gonna start just making the car nice for daily duties, so was after a new Brake master cylinder for the MK3, where would be the best place to purchase/source a new unit, or a clean used item?

cheers

Not sure where abouts you are located Jack but there is Matt from Camden GTI who should be able to locate/supply the relevant parts needed for your Mk3. I believe the Seat Ibiza brake boosters are the same Part # also, if you are searching solo....

Yes, was told about Matt.

I will check with a mate, hopefully get the car services before all the broke down R8's in the workshop haha, always wanted an audi, till i saw the workshop full of cars.
