Hey Guys im new on this forum specifically but i am a member of the golfmkv forum and the golfmk6 forum.

This is my story :p

So i was driving around with a red mk6 golf gti until i got my black one and here it is :D

Bought the car Stock! & 1st batch to come to Australia, Built in 2009 :)

I Plan to post everything that happens to the car from here on in :) and photos i do with any members, friends etc.

Well I kinda hoped that i could find something like this before i bought mine but i did my research and didn't hear any bad comments about this product at all, only positive ones.

It took 1 MONTH !!!! for this item to come to Australia and that absolutely killed me as i hate the stock panel filter setup that comes with the car. In all honesty it just looks so restricted.

Well the item finally came and obviously like anyone would do its, cancel all appointments for the day and install the intake lol.

All you basically need to install the intake is a Flathead screwdriver, a screwdriver and clamps, but you need one of those special screws (don't' know the name) to unscrew 2 bolts that connect the start of the airflow next to the big VW front grill. All in all its pretty simple.

The process took about 2-3 hours to take out the stock parts and install the intake. All the parts are provided and it was a direct bolt on like it should be.

Some pics of the stock air panel getting taken out. As you can see it freed up a lot of room :D

Does it feel any different?
Surprisingly yes. Yes they claim to give 10-15 more hp/tq but can you feel it.

Well this is what i noticed strait away.

1) When you lighty accelerate, like SUPER lighty grandma speed. The car feels heavier/slower but when i look at the speedo it still accelerates liek it use to. Just feels different.

2) From 2nd to 3rd sometimes at around 3000-4000 rpm it does a little pop noise. Like not a bad one it sounds freaking awesome lol.

3) when boosting below 4000 rpm it has a wicked flutter sound. like a deep one. and on top of the Forge BOV adapter it sounds awesome.

4) BUT THE MAIN DIFFERENCE when you floor it !! man does it go or does it go. SO responsive, so nice.

I turned the sensor between the 2 silicon hoses around so you can't see it anymore. Just looks better that way imo :D

Final thoughts: Beside it being a little more expensive then most intakes, I Believe it is 100% worth it and BSH have done me proud in this item :) I would recommend this for others that want to get the BSH intake.

they are so similar. Off the lights he gets me, but from about 50-150 km/h i catch up and gradually pull from him. But 200-220 km/h he catches up and its dead even. Dont know from 220 +

Once i get the downpipe and ecu stage 2 i should be quicker though :P

Cool. So long as you are driving city streets that are well lit and realise the bluer the light the less actual visibility they provide that's fine. They do look nice though.

Yeh will take some tomorrow to post on for ya. I was meant to screw it down with 2 screws, but its on the dash above the right aircon vent thing.

And i didn't want to drill into the dash in case i have to ever move it.

So its on there with some heavy duty double sided tape hahahah :P GHETTOO ! lol

So I got my Eibach Prokit Lowering Springs installed today via my mechanic.

As i drove my car there nice and early this morning.

I got treated with a nice treat that was amazingly loud.

There aint nothing better than working on a car like this at 8 in the morning haha.

Anyways short after we got my car on the hoist and started working to change the springs the whole process took around 1-2 hours so it was really quick since we had the tools and knew exactly what we were doing. It was not hard at all as i thought it would of been hard as i have read it was somewhere by a few members saying our suspension is hard to change etc etc.

After it was all done we ended up with our nice predicted 1-1.2 inch drop Front and rear which came out exactly how i wanted.

Thoughts:

Wow is it so much nicer to drive. Not only does it seem smoother and firmer. Its body roll around sharp corners at high speeds has drastically decreased. And the minor drop is just a bonus :D

Got a wheel alignment strait after and it didn't really change the camber etc at all. at most 0.5 of a degree so was nice. But its safer to get a wheel alignment anyway after any height adjustment on the car as every car is different.

Something i noticed was that the stock front spring had 6 coils where the Eibach had 8 coils and the stock Rear spring had 5 coils and the Eibach had 7 coils.

I would really recommend these as they are a awesome spring and even though they are a little pricey for a spring they are definately worth it.

Hope this helps some people out that have any questions about these springs. and feel free to ask questions, im happy to help if i know the answer.

so judge for yourself if it is pricey or not :P

Your car would look good with some black number plates. I noticed that some of the Euro black plates can come in a very slim front plate.

The last pic in front of the building has a nice architectural look. Keep up the good work.

MK, the APR stage 3 is available through APR for quite some times now.
Guy Harding has it on his MkVI

As for the FSB, they are tricky. Best leave it to the professionals.

Yeh i called up guy 2 days after they put it on and its making 285 kw which is pretty insane.
Tempting but i think i will wait a bit longer as the car is still newish lol

you have to remove the sub frame assembly etc for the front. If you dont know how to, dont, unless your willing to experiment

the only thing that sucks is that APR have a policy that you have to buy from your local dealer no matter what. But its easy for me to get around that as 90% of my family live in america :P haha

and APR have no policy on what the customers do with the exhaust after they buy it :D haha SCORE !! lol

nah ECS wont ship it. They emailed me saying something about the APR rules and also. They wont write on the box the value of the item $1000 Cause if they charge the full amount they write on the box exactly how much it is (don't know why, not like u asking for much) worth which ends up you pay a whopping amount on custom tax and it ends up being bull crap expensive.

I was super super pleased with how linear my graph was and how the torque stayed strong. i only expected 150 kw + for the power output.

OMG I PUT IT ON THE CAR AND HOLY SH&@T When i drive below 2500 rpm it sounds normal with a slight burble. but when i hit 3000 +

IT FREAKING SCREAMS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it pulls so much harder also. The front starts to lift a little. Man loving life atm lol lol

Pics i couldn't wait till saturday as im super impatient and we just opened the workshop and worked on it. After hours ftw ! lol. Took around 2-3 hours to install + mucking around haha

yeh its DSG. i don't understand what you mean by far sound. But the fark "cannon" sound was what i was most scared about on any exhaust haha.

All my friends said it sounded awesome and like its meant to. I get a burble sound when i change gears. If you watch the APR RSC 3' TBE video by APR comparing the exhaust to a stock one it basically sounds exactly like that.

Installed the rear Sway Bar today.

Engine cover looks the goods. You just need to fill iin the TSI lettering either in black or another colour to provide some contrast in my opinion. Or maybe buy a spare TSI badge to stick on top of the lettering already there (another minor mod to keep you happy).

Well when you put it in Neutral and turn ESP off the rev limiter is meant to be eliminated. Never bothered to try it though as how often do you just sit there and rev your car? lol lol
