No concept of lanes or indicators in most parts of Asia. Everywhere I have travelled in APAC, this is the driving I see all the time. I have had few close calls as a passenger in my APAC travels but it seems to be a norm to these drivers. I am a bit surprised however that this behaviour caused an accident because they seem to have this understanding that if someone cuts you off, you just cut someone else off and its all good. The danger with this kind of driving is when they come to a country like Australia, those habits are hard to kill off which poses a serious threat to the safety of other drivers. And... this does not only apply to APAC but also LAD, or EMEA. That is why defensive driving is always the best form of driving.

Granted the VW driver was driving like a tool. It looks like the BMW driver really pushed him into the bus. I wonder why?

He probably wasn't doing it on purpose, the BMW driver freaked out seeing the car next to him and probably couldn't take his eyes off - thus causing him steer into the VW

Sorry, but realistically there's nothing you can do about tool bags on our roads these days (read story about car thief killing family this week). The best you can do is try to do the right thing and pray you don't run into someone like the Golf driver in that video. Got road raged at for using my horn to let a Range Rover who was riding the dotted line know that I was overtaking on his right.

everyone has missed the fact that the knob shooting the video has witnessed an accident and has failed to stop to help. in my book that guy is the real tool.

the GTI goes in between the beemer and the bus....when u see that happen, u can see the beemer slowly inching away towards the right. then he decides to merge to the left lane and clips the golf, resulting in the incident.

I reckon the beemer driver knew the golf was there and was being a prick

I doubt the Beemer driver did it on purpose. His car would have been damaged in that collision.

The crazy thing is that the Beemer driver didn't stop. He would have been able to make an insurance claim against the GTI driver for dangerous driving and had the damage to his beemer paid for by the GTI owner's insurance.

He does stop, just after he recovers from his fit of laughter 400m down the road. Just once again proves that you can't avoid the idiots on the road. Defensively letting the prick of a golf go through in hindsight would have been the best move here.
