Finally managed a pic of my 2008 R32 united gray man (not a great pic sorry)
have been having difficulty with Exhaust noise lately
Dealer's mechanic couldnt really pick up on reason so visited my local exhaust shop
they belive my cats are on way out or there is to much back pressure in system causing harmanic noises
through system ?

2008 car already needing new cats?
harmonic what?

what the ????
is this sounding plauseable or did i bye a lemon?
also passenger drivers door won't open:<

on a lighter note have seen a few exhaust on U tube WOW :> very nice stuff
as well as upgrades to drive train ect..

will make a decision after i test drive new R20 wheater or not to spend 5to10k on r32 or trade up i guess it will depend on price and fun factor

hope some one can help on exhaust problem
thank:)

dude make a youtube clip of the sound your getting. some R32 members might be able to give you an idea on what the prob might be. your flapper might be broken and in the open position hence why it is noisy all the time.

a builder hah...that's prob why your exhaust guy is trying to milk you for cash coz you are a builder. if you are in sydney take it to barloworld vw mascot for a second opinion. or you can let me take care of your car and i'll fix it for you say builder's rate of $20,000 ok? lol.

Judging by that number plate & rego sticker he doesn't look to be from Sydney.

First of all welcome damov ! took me a little while to decypher your posts :)

Anyways - as mentioned before best to take your R32 to a VW - been a MY08 you should still be under warranty.

First link doesn't work and not sure why you posted second link ?

^ Yes. Take it to a VW dealership for sure. If you are in Sydney, come to the get together this Sunday at Terrigal. There will be few of us R32 drivers that might be able to tell you if there is anything suspicious going on under your car.
