Hi Russ.

GL with sale! 77TSI is a great fun car to drive. Planning of doing any mods to it?

Hi, nothing much mate, I'm getting too old for this mod stuff =) Probably just the basics (not really modding), window tint and an ECU remap, have to wait and see if the GT sells first ;)

The GT Sport is actually in better condition than my GTI (which is sad to admit)
Mine was a demo and whoever washed it must have been using a bloody filthy rag because it has swirl marks and light scratches on the car in quite a few places. It will be right in 3 weeks when Dave @ Reflect Effect works his magic.

The GT Sport however is absolutely mint. Dad has always been very fussy over any car he has owned, the Golf more so because it was his first new car and since day 1 it has always been garaged and fastidiously cared for. It would be nice to see it go to a good home.

Its a great car to drive, so much power. I still maintain that you get a bigger push back in the seat with the tuned 2.0 TDI 125kw engine than the GTI. The only thing is it doesn't last as long. Anytime I've driven it I've averaged anywhere between 5.2L/100km and 6.2L/100km and I'm a little bit of a lead foot, completely addicted to torque (who wouldn't be!!)

Here are some photos I've taken, although photos really don't do it justice!

Cheers,
Cam

Just found out that the current Viezu V-Switch (ChippedUk ST3) tune on the GT cannot be used with the 77TSI Polo and according to Viezu UK it would be an ECU out and on the work bench remapping procedure. I don't like that idea so the GT will be sold with the tune and the hand held V-Switch unit. I'm still negotiable on the price but I'm confident you will not find a better example of this model anywhere. Plus for peace of mind it still has VW NEW car warranty until late August 2011, with the option to increase it for a further 3 years (at new owners expense)

BUMP $30,500 with tune (includes Viezu V-Switch tuning box) FIRM

In my opinion a 77tsi polo is no upgrade from an Mkv GT. I would be holding on to it! but that's just me.

My dad is actually looking for a 2.0tdi GT but not until the lease on his forester GT runs out at the end of the year. Good luck with the sale.
