View Full Version : Hux's TR MkV GTI
Ok, so here's mine. Purchased as a demo in Apr 08 with 350km on the odo. Spec is manual with anthracite leather. I'd wanted a MkV GTI since they were released, so I was absolutely stoked to get one.
Mods:
- Koni FSD shocks with Eibach ProKit springs (went with these on White James' recommendation)
- Neuspeed f&r sways (purchased from Doug, aka YouSnooze)
- 18x8 BBS CMs
- APR Stage 1 tune
- Dbilas Flowmaster intake (purchased from Johno, aka Silverbullet)
- X-Force 3" stainless downpipe (with stock catback)
- BSH Stage 1 PCV
- Other misc (Forged stubby aerial, OEM open fog grilles, OSIR footrest cover)
Some pics (hope these work):

Then in Dec 08, my missus decided it was time to replace her Daihatsu Sirion with a real car. New Mini John Cooper Works. I fkn love this car!

Two great cars Hux, look sweet.
Liking the the CMs too as they aren't as common.
Your cars look good hux, I like those BBS you are running.. They look like the ones HPA put on there scirocco..
Johno - I can't get enough of the Dbilas goodness. Burgs was a fan too.
G - thanks buddy. I was after unique wheels, so am pretty happy with these. Haven't seen any Golfs in Aus with them.
AP - yeah I think HPA have the same wheels but in 19" on their Scirocco. Theirs are also the anthracite version - instead of the black bits on my wheels, theirs have dark gray (aka anthracite) detailing. They look nice!
I saw your ride Hux at the Terrigal gtg and I must admit, the wheels look really good on your GTI. I did'nt know it was your car but I am glad I saw it in the flesh.
Hey guys, I got some good news the other day at work which means I might be selling my GTI late this year. If anyone's interested in buying any of my mods, just let me know. At this stage, I expect that I'll be parting with the mods starting in September.
Or if you (or anyone you know) is interested in a pristine MY07 GTI with 20,000km on the odo, let me know!
Cheers

Nice one M3 here you come?!? So what's an adgie doing in the states? Aren't there enough holes in the ground there already?!
Nath I'm not an adgie! I'm an air defendo, not a ground defendo!

Working in a different country would be sweet..
Pretty low km on your GTI Hux, should be easy to sell!
Nice one Frenchie! Seriously though, once I'm there feel free to hit me up if there is something you guys want. I'd be happy to help out.
Thanks Mal. To answer the questions about where I'm off to - Norfolk, Virginia. Have a look at the naval base there on Google Earth. Friggin ginormous!
G - I hope so mate. Honestly, the car is like new. The back seats have been sat in once. I'm so particular about it. I'm not enjoying the thought of selling it to be honest, but keeping it would be pretty unwise.

Hey Clint, if you could manage over the weekend, would you want to get some shots here in Newy before you get rid of the car?
My old mans, Burgs, my bucket, you and maybe a Mk4 GTI ??
I'd love to Mal, but I'm up north in the NT for a little while for work. Once I'm back in Newy I'll give you a buzz and we can tee it up if that works?
Well, my GTI is now on a truck on it's way to it's new owner in Melbourne. :icon_cry:
