CW R32's are a rare beast over here, only 7 officially imported by VW UK.

Thanks for the welcome, yes it was the last one for sale too, completly came across it by accident too and not to far from where I live. Would have liked the Recaros' but hey beggars can't be choosers...lol

The only options not fitted to it are the Recaros and DSG, but the Edition 30 has DSG so manual is fine...

I must say your's looks stunning, like the Gruppen M intake and the Exhaust...but $7k...holy moly..

arent they both the same? I thought the pirelli was like the ed30 in terms of power and turbo (both K04 and both making the same power output), but its just that the pirelli got special pirelli gear like pirelli seats, rims, yellow stitching etc and the ed30 got the same special treatment with ed30 lip, colourcoded bodyparts, different DSG shifter (golf ball shape), red stitching etc? (more red stitching than the normal GTI's)?

someone please correct me if im wrong... :S

Stephen your are 90% correct, the Pirelli over here came with some options fitted as standard (options on the ED30) such as smoked/Factory tinted glass B pillar back and a couple of other things too. Plus they were available in Graphite Blue, Pearl Black and Reflex Silver but not Candy White or the Yellow, but there are a couple of Yellow ones imported. Only 250 were imported by VW UK so I'm led to believe.

The Edition 30 was originally a limited run of 1500, then VW upped it too 2300, which I'm not too bothered about, but I know some owners were, they also have an edition plaque which the disgruntled owners managed to VW to agree to, but it meant for me I was allowed to place an order for one, in fact the order book closed a week after I'd placed the order...:D Mine in 2275/2300 so quite near the end.
Available in Tornado Red, Candy White, Pearl Black, Steel Grey and Reflex Silver. A long list of otions too:rolleyes: Mine is only missing Tinted glass, Rear Air Bag and RNS510 (Sat Nav) I can retro fit the Tints and Sat Nav.

The V6 has a sound that it to die for, where as the Turbo is quite unless of course you change the Exhaust, many go the Milltek or Blue Flame route for the GTI.

The GTI is a lovely cross country point and squirt drive, the V6 is a nice cruiser. Plus the DSG in the GTI is brilliant. Both are roughly the same top end, but it's how each one gets there...

The MKV R32 was not a limited a run over here although the MKIV was not imported in such large numbers.

C/W R32's are very sought after over here, as I said only 7 "official cars" exisit, but some have had them resprayed or wrapped. In fact some second hand cars have gone for as much as they were brand new.

Yeah that's what i thought, just don't like the seats and proper leather ones would be good =D. Found the theme a bit strange but what's underneath would be worth it I guess with the K04.

Yes, you are correct, the cars are technically identical - only differences are cosmetic.

You could always put tailored sheep skin covers over the Pirelli seats. Anyway, once your arse is on the seat, you don't notice it.
