FOR SALE -
1972 Dual Cab.
A very well loved and cared for DC - Always serviced and always garaged. This is my daily driver and as such goes everywhere and anywhere. Recent camping trip up past Gympie, fully loaded and did not miss a beat. I have owned this DC for 4 or 5 years, and has always been good to me.
Lowered by Custom VeeDub, as well as an engine transplant to a worked 2 litre beetle engine (1974cc lightened, blueprinted, dual carbs, balanced, mild cam), was built by VolksWorld. cruises beautifully on the highway and runs nice and quick for a kombi otherwise.
Drives like a dream, lowered as far as it could go, yet is still so smooth. Interior needs finishing, I have a few panels that are not in the car and the back portion of the cab is partway done.
Big sound system, 12 inch Alpine S-type sub, 2x Alpine S-type 6x9's and 2x Alpine S-type 6 inch splits, though not in the doors at the moment.
Paint is in good condition with a few nicks here and there.
New white walls with over 95% tread.
New Chrome - headlights, hubcaps.
All rust GONE - Before it was painted i had all rust removed and replaced with treated steel, the panel beater placed drip holes so no water catches anymore.
All floor panels with rust were replaced, again, with treated steel.
New windscreen.
New Rubbers PLENTY of spare parts, as seen in the pictures. Also, the 1800cc engine that was in there before the engine swap is included in the sale. All tinware included. NOTHING wrong with this engine. it was removed in complete working order, it was by choice i swapped for the modified engine. Includes Empi twin tip exhaust.
Box of awesome included as seen in pics. Bench seat for front included, though it needs mounting brackets.
All jacking points in good nick, all underside in good nick.
72BAY plates included. Rego until the end of the year.
Issues -
1. Windscreen wipers work sometimes, not exactly ideal!
2. Drivers door handle has issues opening from the inside, seems the connector rod is marginally too long
3. Drivers side window has broken from from the winding mechanism.
4. Indicators dont flash, but turn on, I generally 'manually' flash them. Front left indicator does not come on - Lamp?
5. 1x brake light does not work. Lamp?
6. 1x side mirror broken
