VAGCOM for 50 AUD shipped

What do you guys think about this vagcom? Are you guys aware of any problems caused by cheap interfaces?
Willing to install a RNS-510 in the R32 and I want to do all the coding to avoid any issues.

No idea about cheap vag-com but the $299 I spent for my one has already paid for itself in these short few months that I've had it so I would suggest investing in the proper thing.

It may work with their own software but it won't work with the official vcds software by ross-tech..

VCDS ross-tech software is self activated by the vag-com cable you purchase through them...

Very similar to the old dongle licensing system..

I couldn't agree more - same experience for me. Very small amount to outlay for such a useful tool.

Why would you skimp on something you are using to reprogram the CPU of a $$$ car??
