So i had the chance to see a film called 'The Road' last week and i was pretty disappointed.

http://www.racketmag.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/the-road-poster.jpg

I haven't read the book so i didn't know what to expect and can't comment on how well this movie pays homage to the novel. I suspect the novel is far more entertaining than the film.

It stars Vigo Mortinsen, and without giving away any spoliers i thought the movie was going to be a whole lot more action packed than it was. I guess i let those damn misleading trailers get the better of me!

5/10 from me.

I haven't seen The Road yet, the trailer looked a bit mediocre though.

I watched a movie yesterday called The Vampires Assistant.

Crappiest movie I've seen sofar in 2010.
Crappy acting, crappy special effects, not funny (its tries to be) and a crappy plot line/ending with so many plot holes!!

2/10

p.s I'm not a hard movie critic by the way hehe. I like most movies I see, but this one was a waste of time.

Last night i gave a movie called 'The Blind Side' a try. This movie came highly recommended from a friend of mine.

http://lodim.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/the-blind-side-poster.jpg

This movie is about the rags to riches story of a NFL offensive tackle named Michael Oher. Without giving too much away, he gets taken in by a family because he is struggling on the streets by himself and due to his athletic ability and with the help of the family, is able to rise to stardom. It's a well produced and written movie that is pretty awe inspiring. Sandra Bullock is a standout in this film.

It looses some points only because it exaggerates some of the facts/characters the story is based on.

8.5/10 from me.

^ 1st was was fun.

EDIT: Just watched the trailers. I'm a little worried about The Wrestler being in the film, he looked damn silly with that outfit out on the race track too. I did get a little excited when I saw this though:

I hope your wife's name is Alice. Otherwise, to all the people named Alice out there, RUN!!! (*note you won't need to run that fast, just enough to outpace an old guy with a walking frame)
