So it looked all lonley in here so I thought I'd post a thread being a Mk6 owner.
Love my GTI, awesome car, and drives with the guys off Mk5 have been great, hoping to join in for many more...
So any other Mk6ers in here?
Awesome, haven't actually seen one of these in the flesh yet!
Post some pics of your ride! Better yet start a thread in the car diaries section :)
Nath's MKVI looks great in the flesh!
The red really stands out on a dull day.
Here are some recent pics (hope you don't mind me posting them Nath)

Thanks stoie, will post some pics when I find them suga I really like the look of the 6 over the 5 but them neither are ugly. Now your ride is prob one of the better 5s I've seen (all be it in pics) nice tastefully done mods :)
sigh if only I wasn't building a house I could make some subtle mods to my 6, o well will just have to wait

Yeah I do like the look of the 6, that frontend is just plain MEAN!
But oh well, wouldn't mind putting the new front on the MkV make it a bit lower and meaner looking...

I have to admit I wasn't a fan of the new Golf when I first saw it. I initially thought it looked a bit Japanese/WRX in appearance. They've worked so hard with the Golf over the years to make it smoother and rounder but the new model has some very harsh angular lines. The tail lights have lost their refined rounded shapes and so too the front headlights and grille.
BUT...
They are growing on me big time. Definitely less elegant and more aggressive too. I'm so keen to try out a GTi. I've been invited to by Barloworld. I've just got to make the time to book a test drive in!

They did a horrible job on fitting the reverse parking sensors yes. I put that down to the person who did the installation. The girl at the service desk does a great job though and Peter the sales guy is a nice enough guy too.

Also a guy who works there paid me out on the MKV forums, that wasn't very nice :(

Thanks Frenchie, its no Super R, but its pretty sweet :)
Been thinking about mod, building a house at the mo though so thats all on hold. My problem though is so many things to choose from, I was dead keen on the APR Stg 1 and new wheels (something like the OZ Superturismo GT with the red writing) and now not sure about the APR tune but really really like the look of the MTM bimoto rims 18" in either silver or titanium....
O well plenty of time to consider I guess :)

From memory MTM wheels do not come in 18'' so you would have stick with 19''.........Nice wheel though...Take your time to look around
