Hey Guys,

Just thought I'd post up a quick FYI, for all of those interested in getting some.

I looked everywhere to try and source these and despite having been told by VW that they were never made for the 2 doors because there just wasn't a market for them!

These are actually for the 2 door MKVI Golf R's and was suggested by the parts team that it could possibly fit the 2 door MKV's, turns out they were a direct fit!

$67.10 from the dealers!

Hey Kyne, what are they actually for?

For when it rains so the water doesn't drip in the car? my windows are never up, rain or shine! They're so useful

I've got some on my Mk5 Jetta and I do hear wind noise. My Jetta had them already installed when I purchased - so I cannot confirm if they noisier than without.
But I have read the Mk5 is already noisey around the side mirrors.

The weather shields allow you to drive in the rain with the windows cracked about 5cm open for frresh air - can be a gosend for smokers - says an ex smoker LOL.
It also allows you some safelty when you park on a hot day - you can leave your windows cracked open a little to let the heat out - and if it rains you are kept dry. You really have to look to notice that the widows are cracked open with them on.

The other thing... Mk5 have a horrible roof rain gutter design, so that if your car is wet and you get in, if you drop the windows down too early you get wet when the water drops off the side of the roof rather than down the rain gutter.

Mk6 have a similar issue as it splills down onto the windows buttons.

Have these on my 3dr MK6, and absolute love them, im a windows down person so these allow me to crack the window and let air flow in when its raining.

I've actually had these on my prevous 2 cars

It's the worst downfall for MKV being the rainfall (lack of) draining - for $60 I think I might try a set out!

Then again, I'm moving to WA in a month..!
