It seems the Volkswagen Automotive Group came close to scooping the pool by winning three of the four awards for 2010.
2010 World Car of the Year - Volkswagen Polo.
2010 World Performance Car of the Year - Audi R8 V10.
2010 World Green Car of the Year - Bluemotion Diesel Volkswagen.
The fourth award, for design, went to the Chevrolet Camaro.

This award is judged by reps from State motoring orgs:
The winners were selected following an intensive week-long series of tests at the Australian Automotive Research Centre at Anglesea in Victoria.
The judging panel was made up of experts from Australia's motoring organisations including NRMA, RACV, RACQ, RAASA, RACWA, RACT and AANT.
