Will be looking at doing the suspension within the next 2 months, then after around 6 months do some performance mods.

Thinking APR stage 2

Welcome John. Not wasting any time for mods.

hehehe, i was thinking to wait for a year, but figured if there are any little issues with the car, they should show up within the first 6 months.

Thanks for the welcome

Looks great. I like how your car has the Pirelli/R32 DSG shifter. :)

Nice car mate!! Love those wheels..

Yeah, for brand new car it's better to let it run in for a bit first :)

Nath, disease is an understatement. I may not go too crazy on this one as it may be passed on to the wife.
I want to get an R20 next year

well just gave the car a wash and decided to apply some quick wax using meguiars ultimate quick wax and supreme shine microfiber cloth.
On the wet part of the cloth, it looks like specs of red.
This sort of scared me, so did a close inspection of the car, and noticed some of the window plastics also had some red on them.

Looks like the dealer used colour polish when they detailed the car prior to delivery.

Thanks mate.

I doubt it will effect the paint, just not sure why they would use it on a brand new car

I'd just go back and ask and confirm that is what actually happened. Some people do recommend that you clay bar a new car to prep the paintwork properly and apply a good sealant over the top, keeping it in fine condition. But claying may remove some of that colour polish you are talking about.

Sounds strange in any case.

Welcome, John.

Red MkVI seems to be the trend here. Looks hot and angry!

thanks 10d

Pharkus, going to ring them now to see what the go was with that.
I know they do detail the car prior to delivery, maybe they just like using coloured polishes.

Either way will ask them :)

Apparently its just a coating they put on at this dealership prior to delivery.
Will come off within a few washes he says and no probs.
