i had similar experience today... Some dude with a white golf r tailgated me for yonks... Then pulled up next to me at the lights on homebuah bay drive ... Went green and he launched it hoping for a run... Unexpectedly i thought why not and jumped on my pedal late after taking off normally... Caught him in 3rd gear and he backed off... No more tail gating

Not sure if you know, but your fogs light up when you where changing lanes, you changed from left to right lane and your right hand side fog turned on. Pretty cool. Well not really "trick"... VW price their cars very well in Australia. Honestly if I lived in Europe i wouldn't be driving a VW because for what i'm paying in Australia, i can get a much better car in Europe. But for this particular price range in Australia VW is a very attractive option.

On a side note, i took a trip to Hong Kong a few weeks back, and when i picked up the newspaper, i found the top selling car is VW Golf TSI!!!!

Pretty sure I saw a BMW 1M today in Nowra! It was white.
I was along side it on the Princes Highway coming through town and my god....its beautiful! At first I thought it might have been an M3 from a distance had the M badge on the back but it wasn't as big.

Didn't have any number plates so I'm guessing it was a test mule or perhaps review car.

I'm sure the 1M would be a great car to drive, the 135i is a very good car to drive already... but pretty? or sexy? really?!

The 135i at 83k+ is a rip off

BUT the 1M at $110k+? pretty good price, CONSIDERING it is a limited edition... It'd be hard to decide whether to buy one or not... in the same price range... you have Porsche Boxter/Caymen, Audi TT, Lotus Exige, BMW Z4, BMW 335i, Audi A5/A6/S4, Range Rover Sport, Mercedes Slk350...

Comparing to the sports car, boxter, TT, SLK etc. the 1M is very competitive and i'd probably choice the 1M... but then again when you compare it to a proper all round car which by no means are slow such as 335, S4 etc. I don't think i'd pick the 1M.

Within 500m of me there are 3 MkV R32s, at least 8 GTIs and 2 Rs. And that's just the ones that are parked on the street. Astons don't even rate a second look much. But I am jealous of the guy with the GT3

Definitely not the only one but only one of a few. If you read further through the thread there is someone with a red DSG R. They actually live not far from me and I have spotted them a couple of times. It looks horn with the black wheels.

Spotted a colour coded gti on darley street centennial park around 5. It was Red but pretty sure not Tornado Red... and it wasn't a pirelli. It looked different, in a good way.

Also spotted a mk6 gti at barloworld with ugly grey painted wheels.... on the topic of barloworld mascot, they called me to say a used polo gti (1500km not demo) was in, but wouldn't let me test drive it... plus the price was about 3k over rrp (35k), as they said people are willing to pay it (apparently 16 months wait, slight exaggeration imo)... anyways, it wasn't too bad, a little small but looked nice inside and outside.

Anyone actually tested one yet?
