I think it was Tuesday, spotted a black Mk5 R32 on Hume Hwy turning onto King Georges Rd northbound. He gave a nod, my first late-model VW acknowledgement!

Black MK3 behind me today in Nowra on the Princes Highway.
Saw him checking out the GTI but didn't get a chance to wave. I took off when I saw a gap in the traffic lol.

Saw a red MKVI GTI today in Bomaderry maccas.
I got a photo but can't get it off my phone at the moment. Looked great though.

Driving to my mate's place in Botany, I took a longcut through Coogee and Maroubra Beach etc, two ethnic kids in a loud VR6 with P-plates on it, we were driving around backroads when - what are the odds?! - we stumbled upon what seemed to be Mr. Justin Fox and Ms. Christina SUGA's place of residence! It went something like this..

See VQ35 and SUGA in driveway. Brake hard. Stall. Rub eyes. 'No way; seriously??'. Cream twice. Re-start car. Drive a bit further and do a U-turn. Pull up again and look. Cream once more. Drive off repeating 'I FOUND THEM!' and go home.

Also saw a dark green-ish Mk1 Golf convertible like 30 metres away, another white Mk5 R32, albeit stock, and noticed that they've put Golf Estate adds on the bus stops! Good spottings :)

I was looking to buy both of these, but when I drove them both I was disappointed. M3 lacked bottom end. TTS lacked response. Both of what the R32 has in spades.

Seriously, the M3 felt like an overweight barge putting around through small streets and exiting small roundabouts. Life begins after 3,500 rpm for this baby.

The TTS? Well you write a letter asking the engine for boost... then it writes back to you to ask you if you're sure. By then you've run out of letters so you decide to use the carrier pigeon but it gets devoured by its enormous turbocharger. But at least when it goes... it does!

I've still yet to see one in the flesh :( Living in the western suburbs will keep restricting that chance hahaha.

Spotted a white Mk4 Bora, completely colour-coded but kept the chrome trim. Looked alright from the front, but as it overtook me, it gradually got worse... stock wheels, stock height... then Altezza-style rear lights and a cannon! In Justin's words, FUUUUUUUU!

Oh yeah, I was in 10d's area yesterday having a Hungry Jacks picnic with a few friends, just as we were heading back to the car I saw NAR00P approach :D Had a good chat, told me he was gonna go see Christina & Justin but I had to go drop the other guys off so I couldn't play tagalong. Stood there admiring the car for a bit, love all the carbon fibre bits in the interior!

On Sunday I spotted two blue R50 Touregs, a few R32's and heaps of Comfortlines/Pacifics.
I was in Dad's GT sport coming back from Wollongong, stopped into the BP servo in Albion Park to fill up with diesel and on the way out a UG R32 pulled up. I waved but it probably wasn't anyone from here...lol

A nice white Mk5 GTI stuck in traffic on Anzac Parade just before Todman Avenue in Kensington, I pulled up in the lane next to it to try exchange glances with the owner but they ended up taking a shortcut to avoid all the buses blocking the way! :( Thought it was Tendy at first but noticed it had black wheels and different (standard white) plates.

When I was coming back from Sydney a few months back me and 2 other MKV GTI's convoyed together all the way from Sutherland down to Bulli. It was hilarious, we didn't know each other but we did it anyway.

When the driver got out I saw it was apmitchell. I thought "what would the chances be that I could recognise a forum member and car so soon?" I nearly introduced myself but thought that would be just a little weird... ;)

- MKV Red GTI number plates CR-xx-OC I think.. we had some fun around Kiama bends and then later on at a set of traffic lights. His GTI was a bit worse for wear though, huge dint in the hatch and it was really dirty.

There's a red & black MK5 GTI that parks out the back of my apartment complex most days of the week, I think they work for the Strathfield Car Radios head office next door. It's got a 300HP badge on the back and pretty big wheels on it, I forget the plates.

lol i feel sorry for kaotice in a way, but also in a way not... like you said it is not legal, probably should of thought of that before buying a turbo car on p plates.

Or if you do buy a turbo car, don't put your p plates on!!! my brother used to have a turbo car when i was on my p plates, and i didn't put the plates on... because coppers aren't stupid, especially ones in sydney, they know their cars, they know who to catch, they know who should and shouldn't be driving a certain car, it is their job. Like on border security, they always catch the Asians or other ethnic people, but hardly ever a white guy lol

Also saw apmitchell in the CF Lotus, caused quite a stirr for the brief few seconds the people on the street could see him! And then a UG R32 with black wheels pulling into the street where I was parked, thought it mighta been Frenchie or Jig. Walked back afterwards to find it was neither! Late model MkV, stockies sprayed black, plates were BKO something? Dropped him a card :)
