Taken delivery today being the 21/01/12, gave it good detail in and out of the car and took some shots of it after. Weather was overcast which was great. So that photos came up well.... :icon_mrgreen:

Have you thought about tow-bar and thule tow-bar bike rack? I had one on the back of my WRX. They tip so you can still get in the boot and with the rego being low on the Golf like my old Rex there no need for an additional plate.

The reason I say this is being a triathlete I do a lot of bike carrying. Roof racks are a real drag (quite literally), even with no bike on them, plus I know a few mates who've destroyed bikes that way: one in a Maccas drive thru, one in an underground car-park and one on a low bridge, and that one damaged the roof too!

They also look ugly, whereas a tow-bar one can be removed when not in use.

Just food for thought.

Could not agree more!
Unless you plan on carrying more than 1 bike, then remove front wheel, lay seats flat, and whole bike sits in diagonally.
For 2 bikes, take of both wheels, place wheels in wheel bags, tension chain with said device (pedros, etc), and stack bike in rear.
The Thule tow bar system is very cool too; for family weekends, or when you take Road bike and MTB away, bolt on that system as Nabsta suggested, with the ease of carrying up to 4 bikes. Well, on a Golf, perhaps just 3.
Roof racks will spoil the look of your car, and apart from the potential from fork damage (twisting, torsion), I know 3 other 3 experienced roadies who have tried to embed their bikes in walls or gutters. Just not pretty.

Hey Todd unfortunately not. Which sucks because I had to wait a just over a week and the guy couldn't match the colour. Sam told me to go to Wheels Solution in richmond which they specialise in Lambo wheels/repairs etc: It will cost roughly $170-$200 :lol:

So I'm going to give this guy a shot, because he does it on the spot too.

I initially had the pressure up around 36 cold on my fronts, but have since reduced it to 33 and now I see a fair bit less of that pesky TC light coming on.

my vmr wheels didn't come with any studs/bolts. I had to use OEM studs/bolts... RAYS ones tapered. :)

Nat is correct.

The VMR Rims are a "Ball Seat".

If you use a tapered seat bolt they will not seat properly and may loosen off.
