The Un-Official Corrado Picture Thread

As most other Golf variants have a pic thread, so i thought the 'rado deserved one too. :cool:

Brief history.
The VW Corrado was built between 1988-1995 as a replacement for the Scirocco and were the last coupe built by VW before the return of the Scirocco.
They came with a choice of engines, most notable were a 2.0 16V, 1.8 8V G60 and a 2.9 VR6. Layout was Front engine front drive and are widely regarded as one of the best handling front drivers ever made.

As they were never officially imported they are a bit of an oddity in the Australia market but there are a few that were privately imported and do pop up for sale from time to time. I know of a few in Brisbane and one in NSW.

Like any VW they were hugely popular in Europe & the US and respond very well to a bit of modifying.
