Hi guys! Narada and I have set up a new Photography Competition and we'd like to invite you all to enter.


The Automotive Photography Awards creates a platform where Automotive Photographers can showcase their work to the world. Judged by an international jury of distinguished designers, art directors and photographers, all entries will be distributed worldwide in the APA Annual and via our internet media network, assuring important exposure to the creators of this outstanding work. Furthermore, we hope that we can inspire a growth in people’s appreciation of both photography and the automotive community.

We're still working on the prizes, we're planning great big things. The wrap up party and exhibition will be at Zen Garage Sydney AUSTRALIA in January. All work submitted will go to print in an APA Annual. It'll be one amazing coffee table book that's for sure!

The entry fee will be $25 but we'd like to invite you guys to enter with an early bird price of $15 for the month of October.

We can't do this without you and you've got to be in it to win it. We'll be giving out lots of amazing prizes, everyone gets into the book, we're also going to be pushing your submitted work out there. Our network alone reaches over 20,000 unique visitors daily, add to that the network of our sponsors and judges and your work and URL will be seen by a lot of people!

There is absolutely no point in having huge file sizes as the display size on the web site is only 670 pixels wide. When it comes time to launch the exhibition with printed and framed photographs, as well as create the book in 2012 we will be asking for high resolution files.

Hey Justin, I'm thinking of putting a photo in. It's in portrait orientation though - what's the ideal resolution for that? I noticed a bit of aliasing in some photos, possibly due to resizing done by the website!

I have not a chance looking at early entry but that not what I care about!! It would be cool just to have my images in a book with lots of other amazing togs who will continue to inspire me!!!

Ray images display at 670 wide but if you right click and open the images in a new tab or window you will see them in full size. And spot on Byza, the book in itself will be amazing, and truly mark an occasion as the first APA Annual.
