Just found this website
http://www.mrplates.com.au
$29.95 to list until sold. I have a plate that I would no longer use on any car. Wonder if there would be any interest in them or maybe I should just keep them.
The plate is "FOOL" wondering if there would be any interest in them.

There are some ridiculous amounts of money for stupid plates. Was thinking if I posted the ones I won't use up someone might want to fund my mods =)

would be good for Mr T's truck from A-team.
I'd like to know if anyone has bought custom plates and whether it was as a mod or more as a speculative investment. :)

We've got two sets of Vic euro plates and got them custom with our initials and numbers that we wanted. Coincidentally when my wife and I first met we both drove Holden Astra's. When the plates were first released we thought it would be a good opportunity to get something custom and they fit perfectly within the plate mounting cavities of the Astra being a Euro designed car.
The first set of plates was more of a piss take but probably drew more unwanted attention more than anything else.
I was considering the potential of the newly released signature series (either 2 letters only or a combo of 2 letters 1 number or 2 letters 2 numbers) but at $4,000 a pop for just the 2 letters couldn't justify the cost. Shannon's got dibs on a few nice combinations "GT" for example to auction off at a charity auction, the plates starting off at $20,000.
There's no additional annual fee down here in Vic so its not bad as a mod.

I've got 2 sets of custom plates, one with my name and birthday that I don't have annual fees on because they were bought before the laws changed and a full custom set on the way for the new car :D ...I'll be putting my name plates in storage
I did see a Maloo ute tricked up with nice black enamel number-only plates (like 10d and AP)
I just ordered BE4ST for my one.. Just thought I'd share lol
