Hi guys,

Picked up the car yesterday (7/10/11)

GTI Edition 35 with DSG, don't know what mods I want to go with yet. I'm just enjoying driving it at the moment.

Love all the little extras and the special Edition 35 bits and of course the added power.

Very nice.
Great to see this in person today, the subtle things make a big difference. Like the skirts and front lip. Really top it off nicely.

Love that side by side pic of the GTI vs R
As much as I really liked the DRL's on the MKVI xenons...the Golf R has a much cleaner look having the DRL's down below. They still both look fantastic though

Negative,

the 35th has a detuned version of the EA113 from the R - with the same K04 turbo. The factory tune on the 35ths are 173kw. Kinda halfway between regular GTI and R

oh so it uses the EA113? I thought it was the EA888? Interesting....

So it's closer to the MK5 Pirelli then?

that's interesting... is it just the Ed35 that the "manual" on the gearbox shifts to the right and not left?? My mk5 DSG gearbox shifts to the left... i'm pretty sure the last time I tested the mk6 gti and r it shifts to the left...

Yup the photo was taken with the shifter in manual mode

It has a timing belt just like all EA113's
