Nice man, good to see another R32 displayed :D. So shiny..Would love to see a pic of the gloss black rear valance!

Just a question, what is a D2 throttle controller?

boggey
01-11-2011, 03:16 PM
how do you find the H&R springs ?

Hard to say... when i first installed them with Bilstein shocks, i still felt it needed a higher spring rate.

But as I eventually added bits and pieces, it feels perfect now for the roads I drive (country roads)

Yeh I have a bit of an ocd for keeping the car clean and topped with wax to protect it, after spending around 10hours Ro machine polishing it.

Here you go

The D2 throttle controller is the same thing as the sprintbooster.

Just took it to a mate at the local panelbeater.

Gave it a good sanding and resprayed it.

Yup definitely worth it, good bang for your buck.

I had a Ecs insert initially which was ok, but the Hpa one made a massive difference.

Nice looking car. It's such a pity that the old R32 sound has been lost but the new plant is so tunable and sounds pretty damn good with the Milltek. Would still go for a R32 as my daily drive and keep the R for fun... ;)

Must see. Gloss black on blue always looks good. Now remember, carry a water spray bottle in your car and a chamois wherever you go. Those bird droppings must be sprayed off as soon as it hits your roof otherwise it will eat into the wrap and will discolour.

Cheers Jig, filling up the spray bottle right now! haha Yeh gonna do a couple of layers of nanolex on top of it once i give it a wash so it should add a bit more gloss and protection.

Awesome Rondy

What's the real advantage of the unibrace?
Just to stiffen up the chassis?

boggey
15-01-2012, 10:55 PM
Yup stiffens up the rear/ reduces flex.

Jigs got a really good review of it which explains it perfectly, basically has the same effect as installing a rear strut brace.

Hahaha good stuff Rondy, this will keep you occupied for..a few days ;)

not unless i get someone else to do it for me :)

Only thing ill be doing is installing the amp and a sub.
Working on a lightweight boot install, and replacing my current amps and subs setup from doof doof to more SQ orientated.

Bit of an update got a couple of things finished/ installed today.

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n217/boggey/DSC00652.jpg

PDX 5 channel amp and a bit of a quick custom boot install (perspex is over the amp but the crap photo dosent really show it) which a mate helped me with,
will later get rid of my 2 subs and build a fibreglass box to sit flush with the boots floor behind the amp, for a single shallow mount 10inch sub.

Also installed high flow cats and added a 9inch glass pack hotdog into the magnaflow sport catback. Sounds nuts!

Also my cams have finally arrived in Aus just waiting on customs and delivery.

Awesome news!!

Yeh can't wait! Been following the tracking for them twice a day...

Someone else on here has also got a set the same time as me, but will let him have the pleasure of announcing it to the world himself.
But if all goes according to plan mine will be installed and custom tuned in roughly 3 weeks.

I just hit up Exoticars for some fancy cams and head work too,

It's a camspiracy!

p.s Boggey, Schoona - who do you guys know of or use on the central coast for servicing and tuning work?

boggey
14-02-2012, 04:28 PM
Camspiracy indeed lol

Yeh Ray and I both got our cams through a place i found on ebay germany, they were about 1/2 the cost of getting them here in Aus.
I'll send you a link if you want but I gave Arthur the link as well pretty sure that is were he is getting the cams from too.

For the simple oil change i just get the local dealer to do it for me every 8000kms, but the bigger services or anything more than a oil change i went to ramspeed.

If your in the central coast though maybe have a look at these guys http://autowerks.com.au/porsche_performance_improvement/apr_tuned.html

high post count cos I get bored at nights and like to read and talk cars and my work mates like golf and lawn and all that shit so it's pretty quiet on that front haha.

thursday march 22 there is a little meet on in Newcastle, but may be a little far for you Adam. Servicing stuff I have been doing a bit myself but Franck at FMD motorsport would happily have a look. He's in West Gosford. Found him quite enthusiastic and easy to talk to (was a bit iffy after my clutch went to shit not long after install but Ben's did the same thing and it was installed at Exoticars so that ruled out "dodgy mech") but yeah I'd recommend him for European specialist servicing for sure Adam :)
