Hey guys,

I'm planning a trip down to Melbourne and would like to keep the bugs and chips away.

Anyone know where I can get a car bra for the MKV?

Thanks in advance!

However, I'd recommend going the Ventureshield route, where you car is always protected and is almost invisible. A car bra can still scuff your paintwork if sand/dirt gets between the bra and your duco.

Also if you leave the car bra on for extended periods of time (e.g. months/years), you may get a difference of tone due to UV breakdown of the paint between the covered and uncovered areas. Ventureshield doesn't do this.

A basic venture shield kit is about $695 from www.ozicozi.com.au.

use painters tape.... far cheaper, won mark your car putting on and off and looks bad ass when you write something in a different colour LOL...

thats what ill be doing for my trip ti natinoal... front cover in painters tape LOL... i have 10000000 of stone chips now but getting respoayed...

if you dont like this idea, i would highly recommend the invisable bra for the front... its clear and will stop chips and looks like the same... ill be getting this....

Cleaner, better, and can keep it on :)

Unsure on cost.

Just be sure that if you go car bra route that before driving off that it has been secured. My mates MPS6 now has a deep rub mark on his front bumper where the clip came loose and the vibrations at high speed eroded it away where the clip was meant to attach.

Thanks for that Shannon, I just need it for the trip down and up so it won't be on for very long at all ie. less than a week! Just want a cheapie!

@Pharkus - will have to make sure I put it on properly! eek!

@Frenchie - Just out of curiosity, where did you get your car bra from and how much?

I got mine of a golfmkv forum member - he had it custom made ? good fit but caution with lowered cars.
Paid $150/200 for it, something like that.
