Hella 'Ambient Lighting'

I'm going to take a wild guess and say this its a usdm jetta?
But as many of the parts look identical to the golf.. I wonder if you could get this sort of thing for golfs?

Anyone seen it before?

I've been tempted by LED replacement lights previously, but it'd be cool to buy a 'kit' that is designed for a full effect, rather than just individual lights

i have these in my Q7 as a factory fitted option.. mines not red of course.. but led white.. and i have to say the ambient lighting adds a nice class to it! i like it and not only that .. at night time... they softly bathe the interior of the car to give you some visibility interior wise with out having to flick the light switch on!

I think they look pretty schmick. Not overboard at all imo.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of overkill neons and LED's. but this looks a lot more subtle.
Would be interesting to see if you can get kits for them

It's a Passat, and I'd love it if they came in a soft white.

Dad's car has that kind of ambient lighting and it's really nice at night, although feels a little airliner.

the picture is an A8... its standard... you can get it on the A6,A7 and Q7.!!! it is very cool :)

a lot of people remark they like the soft white lighting in our Q7 when they hop in at night.. its not very noticeable in day time tho
