Good choice there is a lot of info on Mav's site on the installation and coding of the Volkswagen Skoda kit:

And also here http://www.octavia-vrs.com/technical/bluetooth.html

Thanks G-Rig looks like a bit of work plus you need Vag.com cable. Any ideas who can help in installation, I live in Sydney, should i just go to a dealer or an after market mechanic.

I think European Autotech can install these, give Derek a call.

Yup. He installed mine. Tricky especially if you want voice command. Nice feature to have.

Sounds like you have the full setup 10d.
I sold my RNS and VW skoda kit from my mk5 so have to re-buy them but the B bluetooth version doesn't work in mk6 anyway.

Ankush I'll be really interested to see how this goes in your MK6 because I want the bluetooth unit too. Can you please let me know how the install goes.
Thanks!
That kit is really good and includes all of the wiring to incorporate voice command. Took around 40mins to install into my brother's MK6 GTI including coding.
No cutting or modifications, full plug and play.

Did that ebay kit come with the mounting brackets and black piece of carpet that goes under the drivers seat?
I haven't got a recent price from Stu where i bought the last kits, but the US dollar seems good anyway now.

ps. You can buy the twisted can bus repair cables from the dealer.

You could buy those parts straight from the Audi dealer and wouldn't cost much but may take time to come in.
Ive bought two kits from him in the UK I believe.
Stu (at) Octavia-vRS (dot) com.
I wrapped the unit up so that it wouldn't rattle and stored it in the cavernous space under the stereo and behind the coin tray area.

That's also a good spot but I like OEM location.
Btw any noise or engine whine there? I had a crappy noise with the alpine one in the same spot once buy could have been other issues.

No, no noise from that location. I was going to order the brackets and cover from Skodateille but didn't bother after seeing the amount of space in there when I fitted his RNS-510.

I may consider that location too as it would free up some more space for another amp or something.

Well had givem my car for some warranty repair yesterday, also gav them the kit and all was installed. Working perfectly, cant be more happy.
The installtion was done behind the unit itslef so no bracket needed.
FYI- I only have a RCD510 and it works fine.
So what's the damage to get the kit installed?

So what's the damage to get the kit installed?
It was rounghly 1.30 hours labour so aroung 180 bucks.
Now that I have my GTI I think I'll order a skoda kit from Ebay. Has anyone else installed one since April. I reckon I'll have a go and instal it myself..

Tempted to get one of these from ebay too, I understand the E version is compatibile with iphone 4??
Would probably mount it in the dash if it doesn't come with the carpet and mount (for under the drivers seat), not sure if the cable is the same length but plug and play is always easier.
