Hi All,
As you can see and have probably read I'm getting out of the S5 and into a Golf R. I love love love my S5 but the lady in my life can't drive manual and if little Benajmin's come along (God help us) then I need something with 4 doors.
It's a Brilliant Black 2008 Audi S5. It's got a 4.2 litre quad cam V8 that is the same or similar the engine that's in the RS4. They're not making them anymore apparently. The new ones are V6T's so it's a genuinely awesome chance to get into a great V8 with the best sound on the road.
From factory it's got:
- 19 inch wheels,
- Bang and Oluffsen sound system,
- Carbon trim bits,
- Full leather interior,
- Audi park assist,
- Audi music interface,
- Navigation and I'm sure a few other bits and pieces I've forgotten about.
The previous owner was a CEO that lived on the central coast and commuted everyday to Sydney. So the km's are high (90k) but it's all highway stuff. It's been serviced to within an inch of it's life (beyond 110k) and always by Audi centre Sydney. All the stamps are there.
It's also got brand new tyres on it.
From factory it's rated at 260kw which when you take into account 30% drivetrain losses for the Quattro system means it should be putting out around 182kw at the wheels. So when it produced 182.3kw at all four wheels I was pretty impressed given it's been around for a little while. Maybe it was put together on a Tuesday before lunch.
Since I bought it it's had an oil change and a minor service and had a Milltek exhaust and large bore downpipe system fitted to it. Exhaust and downpipes make a nice noise. Not as loud as I wanted but it's a good change. The system was approx $2k.
