So Stephen, Rezz and I turned up to Baulkham Hills tonight, installed Rezz's new paddles, grabbed dinner, then decided to go for an impromptu photo shoot :D Stephen knew a perfect spot just round the corner and wow, it didn't disappoint! I can't wait to see some of the photos up :D

Good shots were taken with Rezz's 7D, mated to a 24-70L and on a nice tripod.

See below for the rezzults ;) see what I did there?

Met up with Rex (Rezz) and Miles (Daneel) earlier tonight. Rex had purchased my S2TPP silver paddles from me and I said I could fit them for him. Miles, always willing to lend a helping hand, came along as well. Having done this a lot of times now myself on both my car and other members cars and with Miles having done a few himself, between us it was a very quick DIY. All in all it took about 15 minutes in total to replace the OEM paddles to the S2TPP's.

Since it was over so quick, we grabbed a quick bite to eat and decided to have a small photo session. My R, Rex's GTI and Miles' latest aquisition, his suzuki bike (im not bike savvy so I forgot what the name of the bike was. Sorry miles~! haha). Some (actually most) may recognise this location as it has been pretty used and abused over the past few years. Rex had his camera so he'll be processing them but in the meantime, heres a pic Miles took with my iPhone

Id like to thank Stephen and Miles for installing the paddles into my car.
It really sets off the steering wheel cluster and feels awesome, i was laughing in excitement as i gave it a quick spin just after they finished the install.

We all worked together getting the pics right and the cars in position, thanks to Miles for his photographic know-how and showing me the power of RHHAAWW,
as soon as i opened it in photoshop a whole new world just opened to me ahhaha. Hopefully my pics only get better with the new found knowledge.

Anyway here are the pics:

Install of Rex's paddles looks sweet it really matches the interior, photos are so cool especially the initial braking photo.

Top job guys :)

Do the paddles come in black?

I'm finding myself always having to reach the paddles on my R. Are these paddles more accessible than the standard shifters?

Would really love to see what they look like in the flesh.

The paddles do come in black Cihan. I can't comment on how easy they are to access than the standard ones as I am yet to install them on my R32 but I guess they should be.

If you need to order a set here is the link. http://www.s2tpp.com/VW.html

Happy New Year :)

Rex, mind if I use this pic as my profile picture for facebook? Love this shot :)

Re: RSmiling:

Yes, absolutely there is a black version available - I have it myself, and can vouch that they're fantastic. Whereabouts do you live? You're welcome to come take a look at mine..

Paddle group buy thread, currently finished, although it could be restarted with enough interest:

Well From what Stephen told me, these are paddles he bought in 08 and S2T have revised their latest revision to be closer to the steering wheel so i can't speak for that.
But in terms of accessibility i can shift with my hands at the 2.30-3 and 9-9.30 position no problems.

No worries Miles, Mi casa es tu Casa, or my Flickr is your Flickr ahhah

Fixed :) sorry I think I told u 2008. Bought the car in 08 and paddles in 09. But yeah since then they hae revise the paddles for the mk6. These paddles were meant for the mk5 but they still work a-ok. I have the black ones pre-revision currently on my golf r and I prefer it to the newer ones . Can't get the older ones now since they are discontinued with that particular design.

I love the silver but the blacks look more at home and factory in the R at least.

No problems :) I work near Town Hall, so Pyrmont is literally just over the bridge for me.

And thanks Rex ;) appreciate it man! Didn't even realise you'd taken it till I saw it here..
