Wish this was a plain stereo amp and more than 160w/ch.. In the market for one of those at the moment.

Help me here. If I just want to run some front speakers and a sub attached to my TV will this do the trick?

You should be ok Ben, you'll need an active sub though (amp built into the sub) - this receiver only has a sub pre-out.

As for how you hook it up to your TV, there's a few options. The best solution is to run all your devices through this receiver (that's what it's designed for) and let it handle the audio for you, otherwise you could run a cable from the TV's line out to the receiver's line in and just use it as a secondary system.

You'd need 6 ohm speakers to match the amp as well. This isn't a biggie, there's plenty of choice, just something to keep in mind :)

Hey Jeff,

You're looking at roughly $30-40 shipped to Melbourne CBD 3000 depending on what options are ticked, insurance ect.
But that's a general ballpark.
