Golf R being delivered to dealers (WITH PICS)

So I was waiting for my wife for lunch at her work sitting in my car.... and a car transporter rocks up and blocks me in. (She works in Alexandria and behind her office is the undercover storage for VW)

First road train had a few of the new POLOs.... and the next one had a few GOLF Rs...

3 x Blue
1 x white (SEX)
1 x Grey

All 5 doors...

So if anyone here has ordered one.... harass the dealer for delivery now!!

If you think they look agressive (i don't) wait till you hear one (both from the outside and inside). The R's growl makes our Pirellis zorst sound like a domestic cat's purr.

I would say they are heading to VWA head office as I was there yesterday and they have not received the press vehicles yet. I was hoping to have a good look and possibly take one for a spin.

To be exact they are gloss black, a French inspired styling addition to the new R. Go team UG!

Yeah the side mirrors are gloss black.

And yeah the red one is a POLO diesel.

The transporter before the Golf R one had a bunch of Polos on them. No GTI though.

All the Golf R had plates and looked liked they where registered already so good chance they are press cars.

VWA already has about 30 polo's on it's fleet as press vehicles. VWA employees generally drive them around for the first 500-1000km before they go out to the press. I was told that the GTI polo is not likely due till the 4th quarter of thsi year.

this may be true, but hard to tell in tests like that.. the driver is a big variable.
